Suspected Boko Haram Gunmen Attack #Gombe

A group of suspected Boko Haram gunmen have reportedly attacked a police station in Nafada Local Government in Gombe state.
The police station was burnt down, while the armoury attached to it was looted.
According to a witness, who contacted TheCable via telephone, the raid happened around 2pm on November 4, 2014, Tuesday.
The attackers, who came on about 50 motorcycles, did not face any resistance, as the policemen ran for their lives.
According to tweets by some residents, a military checkpoint by Ngada Bridge has also been attacked. The facilities of MTN telecommunications operator and the building of the Peoples Democratic Party secretariat have been set ablaze.
The locals also report that heavy gun fire is heard in various parts of the town.
The number of casualties was not clear, but the initial data provided by a journalist for BBC Hausa Service, Nasidi Adamu Yahaya, indicates that an Islamic cleric and five soldiers lost their lives in the attack.

Buhari speaks ahead of visit to Ebonyi, Anambra

President Muhammadu Buhari has vowed to carry all the sections of the country along in his administration. He said no part of the country would be discriminated against as long as he remained in power. Buhari was speaking ahead of his planned visit to Anambra and Ebonyi states. He said his administration would continue to invest in infrastructural projects that were of critical importance to the region. He made the statement via a Facebook post Monday night. MMM: You can’t eat Nigerians’ money just like that, Nigerians reacts to Mavrodi’s death

Twitter users have taken to the social media platform to air their views on the death of the founder of MMM pyramid scheme, Sergei Mavrodi. Mavrodi reportedly died today of heart attack  at the age of 62. The comment came mostly from Nigerians and people from other parts of the world whose encounter with the Ponzi scheme had been mostly unpalatable. Some of the comments raised questions about the circumstances that surrounded his death, while the majority of the people believed that it was just a clear case of Karma. News broke before noon on Monday that the MMM founder died of heart attack after he was admitted to a Russian hospital.
