International Day for the Girl Child

In commemoration of the United Nations International Day for the Girl Child, SaveTheGhettoChild hosted a Symposium and Empowerment program for Girls and Female teachers of Istan International School, Mgbuoba, Port-Harcourt, Rivers State, Nigeria.
 The Girl Child is an integral part of Who we are and what we are, we need to do our very BEST to see that we educate, empower them to be the BEST that they can Be. On the International Day of the Girl Child, We Celebrate the Potential of every Young Lady to be a Powerful Voice in her Society. SaveThe Ghetto Child offered a Sponsorship Letter to 7 Ladies to be trained on how to produce Custards and Liquid Soap. Our Facilitator also Promised to give the Sum of 10,000 Naira to the Girl Child with the Best Result in the First Term and 5000 to the Teacher whose class produces such Student.

Buhari speaks ahead of visit to Ebonyi, Anambra

President Muhammadu Buhari has vowed to carry all the sections of the country along in his administration. He said no part of the country would be discriminated against as long as he remained in power. Buhari was speaking ahead of his planned visit to Anambra and Ebonyi states. He said his administration would continue to invest in infrastructural projects that were of critical importance to the region. He made the statement via a Facebook post Monday night. He wrote, “Tomorrow I will begin a 2-day visit to Ebonyi and Anambra States. MMM: You can’t eat Nigerians’ money just like that, Nigerians reacts to Mavrodi’s death

Twitter users have taken to the social media platform to air their views on the death of the founder of MMM pyramid scheme, Sergei Mavrodi. Mavrodi reportedly died today of heart attack  at the age of 62. The comment came mostly from Nigerians and people from other parts of the world whose encounter with the Ponzi scheme had been mostly unpalatable. Some of the comments raised questions about the circumstances that surrounded his death, while the majority of the people believed that it was just a clear case of Karma. News broke before noon on Monday that the MMM founder died of heart attack after he was admitted to a Russian hospital. Mavrodi inaugurated his pyramid scheme in 2011 and crashed in Nigeria in December 2016.
