Gunmen Killed Ex-NAFDAC Boss Dora Akunyili’s husband

 

Dr. Chike Akunyili, the husband of late former Information Minister and NAFDAC boss, Professor. Dora Akunyili, has been murdered by unknown gunmen. 

Chike Akunyili was killed at Umuoji in Idemili North LGA of Anambra State on Tuesday evening, September 28. No official statement has been released by the family or the Nigeria Police Force.

According to reports, Dr. Akunyili was murdered on his way from Enugu after a meeting at the University of Nigeria Nsukka Alumni Association (UNAA) where he spoke glowingly of his late wife who was a member, obtain a  award of excellence for his late wife On his way home, he was waylaid by the gunmen who ended his life, Before his death, Dr. Chike headed the St. Leo Hospital, one of the biggest hospitals in Enugu.

Why we have not arraigned Evans – Police

Reasons were given by the police high command this morning why billionaire kidnap kingpin, Chukwudumeme Onwuamadike, popularly known as Evans, decided to drag the Nigeria Police to court over his continuous detention. Evans had on Wednesday dragged the Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Idris, the Police Service Commission, the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Fatai Owoseni and the Federal Special Anti-Robbery Squad to the Federal High Court in Lagos. In the suit filed by a Lagos-based lawyer, Olukoya Ogungbeje, Evans is claiming that his continued detention is an abridgement of his fundamental human rights.
