FBN finally confirms Otedola acquired ‘substancial’ stake in holdings

Femi Otedola FBN Holdings Plc has announced that the Chairman of Calvados Global Services Limited, Mr Femi Otedola, has acquired substantial shareholding in the company. FBN Holdings made the announcement in a statement issued on the Nigerian Exchange Limited’s portal on Saturday. National Vice Chairman PDP south-south and 10 others restrain from participating in PDP convention

The Edo State High court sitting in Benin City has restrained the National Vice Chairman (South-South) of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Chief Dan Orbih and the State Secretary of the party, Hilary Otsu from participating in the forthcoming convention of the party scheduled for October 30 and 31, 2021.  Justice Joy Okeaya-Inneh gave the interim injunction, yesterday, in a motion ex-parte filed by Chief Idehen Manfred Ekundayo, Mr. Stanley Iduoze and Odior Omadimhe (Claimants) in the suit marked B/218/os/2021. The court listed Hon. Samuel Saiki, Vincent Ekpomhoriri Umoru, Leslie Ebozoje, David Okoh Aigbodion (also known as Arizona) and Abdulkareem Kassim as Defendants in the suit. Others are Kayode Ogunubi, Omoregie Ogbeide Ihama (House of Representatives member representing Oredo Federal Constituency), Mr. Oduwa Igbinosun and Mr. Friday Enaruna, excluding the PDP, which was also listed as 12th defendant in the suit. FBN Holdings deniel being aware of Otedola’s share acquisitions

Femi Otedola   FBN Holdings Plc has reacted to media reports that billionaire businessman, Mr Femi Otedola, has acquired a significant shareholding in the company. The holding company for First Bank of Nigeria Limited, in a statement signed by its Company Secretary, Seyi Kosoko, and filed with the Nigerian Exchange Limited on Friday, said it had not received any notification of such acquisitions.  It said, “The attention of FBN Holdings Plc has been drawn to media reports today (Friday) that a certain individual has acquired significant shareholding interest in FBN Holdings Plc. “As a listed company, the shares of FBN Holdings are publicly traded, and sale and acquisition of shares is expected in the normal course of business.
